Christmas Market & Winter Glow Bruges
During the Christmas season, Bruges transforms into a city full of light and warmth. Visit the Christmas markets at the Grote Markt and Simon Stevinplein, where you’ll find local treats and handmade gifts. Don’t forget to follow the Winter Glow route: a beautiful light festival that leads you through the historic city centre.
The Christmas markets are open from 21 November to 4 January 2026:
- Sunday to Thursday: 11:00 – 20:00 (some stalls until 22:00)
- Friday and Saturday: 11:00 – 21:00 (some stalls until 23:00)
- Christmas Eve: open until 17:00 (some stalls until 23:00)
- New Year’s Eve: open until 20:00 (some stalls until 03:00)
- Christmas Day & New Year’s Day: open with a limited number of stalls and reduced opening hours.
