Breskens

Breskens is the seaside resort of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, well known for its many hours of sunshine and its 4-kilometre-long sandy beach. It is the perfect destination for a relaxing day by the sea, a long beach walk or a scenic bike ride along the coast.

Stroll past the iconic Breskens Lighthouse, visit St Barbara's Church to admire the remarkable wood carvings by sculptor Omer Gielliet, or discover the town's maritime heritage at the Fisheries Museum.

Every August, Breskens hosts the lively Fishing Festival, attracting thousands of visitors to the harbour town. While you're here, be sure to sample Zeeland's culinary specialities, including fresh oysters, mussels and the famous Westerschelde lobster.
