Museum Cultuurforum Aardenburg

In one of Zeeland’s oldest towns, you will find the province’s youngest museum: Museum Cultuurforum Aardenburg. It offers a surprising and interactive way for the whole family to experience Roman history.

Almost 2,000 years ago, Aardenburg was home to a real Roman castellum. Remains of this fort and many Roman objects have been excavated in and around the town. At the museum, you can discover how these objects were used in places such as the kitchen and bathhouse. You can also try your hand at authentic Roman games.

Next to the museum stands Sint-Baafskerk, the oldest church in Zeeland. Through a VR presentation, you can take a fascinating journey through the history of this centuries-old church.
